A male in his late teens has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Jamie Bailey, a 38-year-old Limerick man, limerickvoice.com reports. The suspect is currently being held at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region as investigations continue.

Gardaí found Bailey outside an apartment block on Blackhorse Avenue, near Phoenix Park, in the early hours of 18 October. He was rushed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Bailey had been released from prison in May after serving multiple short sentences for petty crime and was understood to be known to Gardaí. He is reported to have been involved in a personal dispute shortly before the attack.
