A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after another teenage girl was attacked and robbed on Pavior Road in Bestwood. The victim sustained multiple cuts and had clumps of hair torn out.

Google News UK — Crime (en) reports that a 13-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an attack on another teenage girl in Bestwood, Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Police said the victim was sitting on a bench in Pavior Road at around 18:00 BST on 17 August when she was confronted and attacked. She was left with multiple cuts and clumps of hair missing. Her phone was taken during the assault and later found smashed on the ground further along the road.

A 13-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Saturday.

PC Connor Richardson said: "The level of violence involved in this incident was completely unacceptable, so we're pleased to have now made an arrest. Robbery is an incredibly serious offence that can impact people in a multitude of different ways, whether that's from a physical, financial, or emotional standpoint."

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or captured footage of it on their phone to contact the force.
