Four stabbed in mass brawl at Bromley KFC, seven men arrested

Four people were stabbed during a fight at a KFC on Bromley High Street on Thursday. Seven men have been arrested and one victim remains in a critical condition.

Four people were stabbed during an altercation inside a KFC restaurant on Bromley High Street on Thursday afternoon, the Daily Express reports. Seven men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene at around 2.15pm, alongside the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance. Four males were found with stab wounds; three were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while one remains in a critical condition.

Forensic officers and a crime scene photographer were later seen working both inside and outside the restaurant, with evidence markers visible on the floor.

A KFC spokesperson confirmed the incident: "We can confirm that a serious incident took place this afternoon in our Bromley High Street restaurant. We are working with the police on their ongoing investigation. Our priority is supporting our team members and customers at this difficult time."

A section of Bromley High Street was closed following the incident, with the AA reporting slow traffic in the surrounding area. Parts of Elmfield Road and Ethelbert Road were also shut, and Church House Gardens park was cordoned off. Some 15 bus routes were diverted, including the 61, 208 and 119.

The London Ambulance Service said it sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic to the scene. One eyewitness posted on X: "Been watching from my balcony! Endless sirens and all the various emergency services attending."

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said inquiries were continuing and that there was "not believed to be any wider threat to the public."

Bromley and Biggin Hill MP Peter Fortune addressed the incident on X: "I am aware of the incident on Bromley High Street this afternoon and I know that residents will have safety concerns. The police are in attendance and have made a number of arrests. I will remain in close contact with the police as they continue to investigate this incident."
