Machete attack in Brackley leaves man with head injuries — witnesses sought

A man suffered head injuries after being struck with a machete in Bayard Brow, Brackley, late on Saturday 29 August. Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage.

Banburyguardian.co.uk reports that Northamptonshire Police have launched a witness appeal following a machete attack in Bayard Brow, Brackley, which took place between 10.50pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, 29 August.

The victim was approached by two men when a confrontation broke out. One of the suspects allegedly made threats before producing a machete and striking the man on the top of his head, causing injuries.

Police have described one suspect as a white male, approximately 18 years old, around 6ft 2in tall, with light brown hair and facial hair. The second suspect is described as a white male, aged 49, with short grey hair and a stubbly beard.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have information which could assist their enquiries. They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has CCTV, doorbell, dash-cam or other footage."
