A man in his 50s was found dead at a High Street property in Burton Latimer. Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit are now leading a murder investigation.

Detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a property on High Street in Burton Latimer, hellorayo.co.uk reports.
Officers attended the address on the afternoon of Wednesday 2 September following a concern for welfare call. On arrival, they found a man in his 50s who was believed to have died several days earlier.
A forensic postmortem carried out at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Thursday 3 September led to the formal launch of a murder investigation, now headed by detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit.
Detective Inspector Cheryl Thompson said: "We're in the early stages of establishing how the gentleman died, and I would appeal for anyone in the High Street area of Burton Latimer who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the last week to please contact us as a matter of emergency."
