A 60-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of Anna Zukowska, a mother of two found at her home in James Close, Ollerton, shortly before 20:00 BST on Sunday, bbc.co.uk reports.

Nottinghamshire Police identified the accused as Jozef Zbigniew Oleszek, also a resident of James Close. He was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Zukowska, 52, is remembered by her family as a "wonderful, vibrant person who was full of life and had so many plans for the future." In a tribute released on their behalf, the family added: "She leaves behind countless friends whose lives she touched. Her mother, her sister and sons are deeply heartbroken and struggling to process the unimaginable tragedy."

Specially trained officers are supporting the family, Nottinghamshire Police said. Detective Inspector Stu Barson, who is leading the investigation, said the welfare of those close to Zukowska remains central to the inquiry.

"The family and friends of Anna Zukowska are at the forefront of this investigation," Barson said. "We cannot even begin to imagine the pain and suffering they are going through right now and we will continue to support them in every way possible."

The investigation is ongoing.
