Google News UK — Crime (en) reports that a 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following a stabbing near the seafront in Ramsgate, Kent, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Kent Police were called to reports of a man with a knife near the harbour area at 04:47 BST on 23 August. Officers attended Harbour Street and Harbour Parade, where two men had been found injured. Both were taken to hospital, where 52-year-old Ashley Jones subsequently died.

The suspect, Kieran O'Rourke, of Seafield Mews, Ramsgate, has been charged with murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

A second victim, aged 48, has since been discharged from hospital. As part of the ongoing investigation, a 45-year-old man was also identified as a third victim, though police stated he sustained no physical injuries.

O'Rourke is due to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
