Google News UK — Crime (en) reports that South Yorkshire Police have named the man found shot dead in woodland in Sheffield as Ryan Kettlewell, 38, also from Sheffield.

His body was discovered by a member of the public in Ecclesall Woods on Wednesday at approximately 18:45 BST. A post-mortem examination confirmed he died from a gunshot wound.

In a statement released through South Yorkshire Police, Kettlewell's family described him as a "lovable character who will be missed", adding: "We will always continue to love him and will miss him greatly."

A 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were arrested in Manchester on Thursday on suspicion of murder. Both have since been bailed.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles said: "We are committed to finding answers of how Ryan lost his life. I continue to urge anyone with information about his death to get in touch, no matter how irrelevant or insignificant you believe it to be — it could be the missing piece we need. Our thoughts are with all those who knew and loved Ryan."
