Nottinghamshire Police said the incident occurred on 4 December 2025, when five masked men broke into a property off Knowle Lane. A man was struck with a sledgehammer and his wife was dragged upstairs during the attack.
Officers executed warrants at two properties in Leicester on Tuesday morning, detaining men aged 29, 30 and 37. The 29-year-old faces suspicion of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, handling stolen goods and possession of a Class B drug. The 30-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a Class B drug. The 37-year-old faces suspicion of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and handling stolen goods. All three were released on bail with strict conditions while inquiries continue.
Eight further suspects, arrested between February and June this year on suspicion of a range of offences, remain on conditional bail.
Among the luxury items stolen during the raid were high-value watches and designer handbags from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Dior. Police identified the most distinctive item as a white Chanel Boy handbag — a quilted white leather piece with a rigid top handle bearing the Chanel name, available exclusively from Milan and not sold in the UK. One of the stolen watches has since been recovered after it was brought into a pawn shop in Leicester.
Detective Constable James Gill said the latest arrests demonstrated that the investigation remained very much ongoing. "As we progress with our inquiries, I also hope it reassures victims that we are committed to pursuing those suspected of such serious offences and that we will continue to target those involved in these crimes to keep our communities safe," Gill said.
