Three people were stabbed and a fourth beaten unconscious in Kettering town centre on Saturday evening, Google News UK — Crime (en) reports, citing Northamptonshire Police.

Officers and paramedics were called to Gold Street at approximately 20:35 BST after reports that a 30-year-old woman had been stabbed outside The Peacock pub. On arrival, police also found two men who had been stabbed and a third man unconscious in the road near the entrance to Newlands Shopping Centre.

All four injured individuals were taken to Kettering General Hospital, where one person underwent surgery.

Four suspects were subsequently arrested. A 24-year-old man from Kettering was detained on suspicion of three counts of grievous bodily harm. Two men, aged 43 and 40, also from Kettering, and a 31-year-old man from Barton Seagrave were arrested on suspicion of affray.

Detective Inspector Wayne Preece described the incident as serious and confirmed an investigation was under way. "This was a very serious incident and a fast-moving investigation is now under way to find out what has happened," he said.

Preece appealed for anyone with information — including mobile phone footage, dashcam recordings or CCTV — to contact police.
