Trans woman jailed 7.5 years for 12 false rape allegations against six men in Harrow

A transgender woman has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison after making at least 12 false rape allegations against six men over a period of nearly eight years, telegraph.co.uk reports.

Khloe Simmonds, 26, a pre-operative trans woman born male, appeared via video link from HMP Wormwood Scrubs as Judge John Lodge handed down the sentence at Harrow Crown Court.

"You repeatedly made false allegations of rape between July 2018 and January 2026," Judge Lodge said. "You made 12 false allegations resulting in multiple police investigations. You demonstrated an increasing awareness of forensic techniques and investigative processes — they showed you knowing more and more about how these matters are investigated."

Prosecutor Ben Temple told the court that at the height of the offending, Simmonds was "single-handedly" responsible for 2.5 per cent of all rape and serious sexual assault allegations recorded in Harrow.

A pattern of false allegations spanning nearly eight years

Simmonds made a first suspected false claim in May 2018, reporting she had been dragged to the ground and raped in Hendon Park by "a tall man who smelled of cannabis." Forensic analysis showed that bodily fluid stains on her T-shirt matched her own DNA profile and that of a male not held on the police database. When Temple described this as evidence of consensual activity, Simmonds left the video-link room.

Two months later, Simmonds accused an Afghan national of following her and a friend from Harrow town centre to their hostel and raping her at knifepoint. The court heard the two had in fact met in town and returned to the hostel together, where the man had rejected Simmonds's sexual advances. In a victim impact statement, the man said the false allegation ended his relationship, caused his brothers to cut contact with him, and that he had attempted to take his own life on multiple occasions.

On 6 February 2022, Simmonds claimed she had been drugged and raped by a chef she had met on a dating platform. When officers arrived after she called 999, Simmonds smoked and drank in their presence, disregarding advice to preserve potential DNA evidence. The man had in fact left the address after no more than a hug.

On 7 March 2022, Simmonds alleged she had been raped in the back of a taxi after an evening at a friend's home. Data from the vehicle's black box showed it had averaged 25mph without a single stop throughout the journey — directly contradicting her account. Simmonds was arrested and later released under investigation after admitting, while drunk, to having fabricated the allegation.

On 28 June 2022, Simmonds went on a date at a McDonald's in Stanmore with an out-of-work musician who believed she had been born female. The man returned to her address and fell asleep on her sofa after drinking. Simmonds, who had remained awake on a live webcam, then called 999 to accuse him of rape.

Simmonds was arrested for a second time on 4 August 2022 and interviewed about more than 20 allegations of perverting the course of justice, before being released under investigation. A third arrest followed on 2 December 2025.

On 16 January this year, Simmonds made a further allegation against a man she had met at Trinity Bar in Harrow, claiming he had raped her on a park bench on the walk home. A review of CCTV footage quickly cleared the accused.

Simmonds was also caught making false claims on New Year's Eve 2025 and on Valentine's Day 2026, with forensic evidence dismantling her accounts of attacks by different men. Additional false allegations were recorded between December 2018 and February 2025, including one in which Simmonds — then using the name Troy — claimed she had been raped at Harrow Recreational Park in 2018.

Defence cites mental health difficulties

Dominic Benthall, defending, told the court there was "plainly an underlying mental health difficulty" that had contributed to Simmonds's offending.

Simmonds was convicted of eight acts committed with the intent to pervert the course of justice.
