A 46-year-old man sustained birdshot injuries to his abdomen and remains in a critical but stable condition. Durham Police confirmed that no other occupants at the property were hurt.

A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were detained shortly after the incident. According to Durham Police, the pair fired at the house before leaving the scene. Officers remained at the address on Sunday as inquiries continued.

Both suspects are still in custody. The teenager faces additional charges of theft, failing to stop, and driving without a licence.
