George Glover was punched while cycling along Narborough Road, near its junction with Noel Street, at approximately 06:30 BST on Monday, Leicestershire Police said. He died in hospital on Thursday.

Chae Smith, 31, and Joshua Cook, 24, both of no fixed address, have been charged with murder and one count of robbery. Following an appearance at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Monday, both were further remanded in custody.

Smith faces an additional charge of possession of a bladed article, police confirmed.

A third person, Louise O'Connor, 39, of Noel Street, has been charged with one count of robbery. She was also remanded in custody ahead of the October crown court date.

In a tribute released by police on Friday, Glover's family said: "George was a much-loved son and big brother to his three siblings. His loss is already felt so deeply." They described him as "loving and loyal with a good sense of humour."
