Two men sentenced for running KY Line drug network across West Sussex

KY Line operators jailed after West Sussex drug supply operation

Ryan Bennett-Morris, 27, and Alexander Lockhart, 46, have been sentenced at Lewes Crown Court for running a class A drug network across West Sussex, The Argus reports.

The pair operated the KY Line, a supply network distributing heroin and cocaine throughout the county. Police arrested both men in Worthing after executing warrants at two addresses. Bennett-Morris attempted to flee but was detained at the scene, where officers recovered wraps of class A drugs.

Bennett-Morris, of Byron Avenue, Coulsdon, Croydon, admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine between August 2025 and June 2026, as well as possession of both drugs with intent to supply. Lockhart, of Tarring Road, Worthing, acted as a runner for Bennett-Morris and admitted being concerned in the supply of both substances.

At the hearing on 18 August, Bennett-Morris was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Lockhart received a three-year suspended prison sentence alongside nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions.

Detective Inspector Antony Preston said the investigation had been a collaborative effort. "Our officers worked alongside partner agencies including the Metropolitan Police to ensure we gathered full evidence of Bennett-Morris and Lockhart's involvement in the KY Line," he said. "We are determined to disrupt the supply of class A drugs which cause so much harm in our communities, and to relentlessly pursue offenders."
