Wanstead man charged over 2022 death of partner in east London
Kevin Bramley, 68, of Wanstead, has been charged with the murder of his partner Lorena Ciupeanu following her death in November 2022, the Evening Standard reports.
Ciupeanu, 28, was found unresponsive and taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone on 4 November 2022. She died the following day despite the efforts of paramedics.
Bramley was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder and charged later that same day. In addition to murder, he faces charges of sexual assault, coercive and controlling behaviour, and causing actual bodily harm. He was in a relationship with Ciupeanu at the time of her death.
Bramley is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.
