A 26-year-old man was shot in a parking lot on E. Magnolia Avenue in Knoxville early Saturday and died at hospital. No suspects have been identified.

Fatal shooting in Knoxville parking lot under investigation

Knoxville Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, 24 October, according to knoxvilletnpolice.gov.

Officers were dispatched to a parking lot at 2103 E. Magnolia Avenue, near N. Kyle Street, where they found a male gunshot victim. The 26-year-old man was transported to UT Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival.

Homicide Unit detectives and Crime Lab personnel responded to the scene. The investigation remains in its preliminary stages, and no suspects have been identified or arrested.
