A 25-year-old man sought in connection with a shooting outside a Jamaican restaurant in Miami's Wynwood neighbourhood has been arrested at rapper Trippie Redd's home in Southwest Ranches, local10.com reports.

Braveone Jones was taken into custody around 6 p.m. on 6 October after authorities served a warrant at the property near the 5000 block of Southwest 136th Avenue. The Davie Police Department led the operation, with support from Fort Lauderdale police, Sunrise police, the Broward Sheriff's Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Plantation Police Department's SWAT team.

Jail records show Jones faces two counts of second-degree attempted murder in connection with the 15 September shooting at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen, located at 316 NW 24th Street in Miami.

Two men — aged 18 and 23 — were wounded in the incident, which occurred shortly after midnight. Miami Fire Rescue transported both victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where they were admitted in stable condition after suffering gunshot wounds.

Miami police said they received multiple emergency calls and found one victim outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen. Officers later located a second man outside Skinny Louie's, the restaurant next door. The restaurant sits across from the Wynwood 25 apartment building in an area well known for its dining, retail and nightlife.

An employee at a nearby business described the chaos that followed the gunfire, saying he helped one of the wounded men.

"I seen a crowd of people just running straight towards us," he said. "I didn't know what was going on."

The employee said he came outside and found a man on the ground with a gunshot wound to his right buttocks. He used his belt to apply pressure to the wound and told the injured man not to move.

As of Wednesday morning, Jones was being held at the Broward County Main Jail, where bond had not yet been set. Police have not indicated whether Jones and Redd are known to each other, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
