Redemption Sharpes man remanded over fatal Lowmans Leeward shooting
A 24-year-old man from Redemption Sharpes has been charged with the murder of Troy Casley, a 34-year-old national of St Lucia, Searchlight SVG reports.
Jarell Phillips appeared before Chief Magistrate Colin John at the Serious Offences Court on August 24, 2026. He is alleged to have, with malice aforethought, unlawfully caused the death of Casley by shooting him about his body at Great House, Lowmans Leeward, on June 23, 2026.
Phillips was also charged with two counts of attempted murder arising from the same incident. Prosecutors allege he carried out acts beyond mere preparation toward the commission of those offences.
The charges were laid indictably, meaning Phillips was not required to enter a plea. He has been remanded into custody.
