Three suspects named in Ottawa arena assault that left victim unconscious in ditch

Ca.news.yahoo.com reports that Ottawa Police Service has identified all three suspects in an assault near the Canadian Tire Centre that followed an Ottawa Senators game earlier in October.

One suspect, a 25-year-old man whose name was not released, has been charged with aggravated assault, police said in an Oct. 30 news release. He is scheduled to appear in court in January 2027.

Officers responded to a call at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 and found the victim unconscious in a ditch near Palladium and Huntmar drives. The Senators' game against the Florida Panthers had ended just before 10 p.m.

A week before the announcement, police had issued a public appeal for help identifying the three men believed to have been involved. Investigators confirmed the victim did not know his assailants.
