Security officers detained a 25-year-old individual in the city of Rafaela, in the province of Santa Fe, following a citizen alert indicating the presence of an armed person in a public street. The intervention resulted in the seizure of a firearm and a motorcycle.
The events occurred on Saturday afternoon, when a call to the Radio Command reported that a man was on J. R. Armando Street displaying what appeared to be a firearm. Officers proceeded to the location and arrested the suspect.
The detainee was transferred to Police Station Number 15, which has jurisdiction in the area where the incident occurred. Later, as part of the investigation, uniformed officers conducted a search of the accused's residence. During that operation they found and seized a firearm, in addition to a motorcycle.
Finally, the prosecutor ordered that the young man remain in police custody with the classification of detained and under notification, whilst the judicial proceedings against him continue.
