Officers from the Robbery and Theft Division arrested a man at San Juan's Bus Terminal who had an active arrest warrant. The operation was carried out at approximately 16:10 at the intersection of Avenida Ortiz de Ocampo and Circunvalación.
The detainee, Emmanuel Nicolás Sánchez, is 38 years old and was born in San Juan. The uniformed officers arrested him and, after checking the databases, verified that there was a judicial mandate issued against him by the CAVIG Fiscal Unit for acts of domestic and gender violence.
Following the arrest, he was taken to the Investigations Directorate, where he was held pending the corresponding judicial measures.
The police operation is part of the tasks carried out by law enforcement to combat violence against women. The competent agencies emphasise the need for citizens to collaborate by filing complaints and for victims to receive institutional support.
