The victim had been seen alive the previous evening in a bar in the area, where he was sharing drinks and a game of "cacho" — a traditional dice game — with other field workers. At the end of the day, Ollo did not return home and his family members lost contact with him.
During the initial investigation, two work colleagues pointed to a man identified as Manrique. However, subsequent inquiries ruled out his involvement in the homicide. Authorities did not reveal further details about the true perpetrator of the attack or the motives that triggered the fatal assault.
