While the city celebrated the victory of the national team, Concordia's security force executed two search warrants that resulted in three people in custody, linked to the distribution of narcotics in the area. The investigation began after an image circulating on digital platforms showed a handgun.

In the first house raided, officers found a pair of young men busy assembling packages of cocaine. When they noticed the arrival of the uniformed officers, one of the two attempted to destroy the evidence by throwing it out of an opening and fleeing, but was intercepted without delay.

The operation resulted in the seizure of almost one hundred grammes of pure cocaine, in addition to several batches of cannabis, mobile devices, a precision scale, pieces of synthetic material used for wrapping, a blade with traces of white powder and cash.

Judge José Arias ordered that the minor, aged seventeen, be identified and placed in safekeeping, whilst his companion was held in a police facility for the alleged crime of storing drugs for sale, enhanced by having the collaboration of an adolescent.

The second operation made it possible to seize more mobile phones, money and eighty-five small bags of cocaine already measured out for its alleged placement on the illegal market. A twenty-seven-year-old individual was arrested at that location, charged with the same criminal offence.

Notably, the man arrested at this second address was already serving a sentence at his home for a federal justice case related to drug trafficking, with eleven months of sentence pending.

All seized material was handed over to the corresponding judicial authorities, and the investigation remains open to establish whether there are more actors in the criminal chain.
