During the first six months of the year, security forces in the province of Córdoba carried out operations in the 26 departments that make up the territory, with the aim of combating the trafficking and retail sale of prohibited substances. As a result, illicit material with a value on the clandestine market exceeding 4.7 billion pesos was confiscated.

The balance covers the period from 1 January until the publication of the report. During that time, uniformed officers seized 97.24 kilogrammes of marijuana, which equals 76.7% of the total retained by weight. Also seized were 29.66 kilogrammes of cocaine, representing the remaining 23.3%. Additionally, 1,814 cannabis plantations were dismantled.

Together, the operations prevented more than 340,000 doses from reaching consumers. These measures are part of the security strategy promoted by the provincial administration, aimed at affecting the income of organisations dedicated to narcotrafficking.
