Suspect arrested in homicide occurring at intersection of Goleta Sarandí and Rastreador Fournier

According to aquilanoticia.com, officers from the Department Investigation Sub-delegation (SubDDI) of José C. Paz arrested Alan Agustín Vera, 25 years old, identified as the principal suspect in the murder of Marcos Elián González, also 25 years old, which occurred on 17 June in that Buenos Aires conurbation district.

The crime took place at the intersection of Goleta Sarandí and Rastreador Fournier streets. SAME personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed González's death; he had suffered a gunshot wound to the thorax.

According to testimonies incorporated into the judicial file, the victim was gathered with a group of friends—among them a woman identified as C.C.—when two men who knew him approached and initiated a dispute with González. One of those involved drew a firearm and fired several shots at him. Following the attack, the assailants fled along with the woman.

The investigation was headed by the Functional Investigation Unit (UFI) No. 20 and the Court of Guarantees No. 3 of the San Martín Judicial Department. Through investigative and intelligence work, detectives managed to identify Vera as the principal suspect and determined the places he frequented.

The Public Prosecutor's Office requested three search warrants. The first two operations—conducted on an unnamed street between Federico Lacroze and Gorriti, and at the intersection of Uspallata and Sofía—yielded no results. In a third procedure, carried out on Grito de Asencio street, between Atenas and Moscú, officers succeeded in locating and arresting the suspect.

During that same operation, a .38 calibre revolver with no visible markings or serial number was seized—silver in colour with black grips—along with two cartridges of the same calibre. The weapon will be submitted for ballistics testing to determine whether it was used in the homicide.

The prosecuting fiscal approved the police actions and ordered Vera's transfer to take his statement. The investigation continues with the aim of fully clarifying the circumstances of the crime.
