Piotr Kuliś, alias "Matador", wanted by Interpol, arrested in Argentina
Argentine security forces have captured Piotr Kuliś, a man known in criminal circles as "Matador". Polish police had been searching for him for months. He was being pursued under an international search warrant issued for his alleged participation in a criminal organisation.
The arrest took place in South American territory, according to Argentine news portal Infobae. Local authorities executed the arrest warrant after coordinating with the corresponding international bodies.
Kuliś had become one of the priority targets of Polish law enforcement, which maintained an active investigation against him linked to organised criminal gang activities. The international search warrant enabled agencies in other countries to collaborate in his location and arrest.
The case highlights transnational police cooperation in the fight against organised crime. The extradition of the detainee will now depend on diplomatic and judicial procedures between Argentina and Poland.
