Ten kilos of cocaine hidden in motorcycle chassis in Salta: one detained
Gendarmes intercepted a scooter motorcycle on National Route 34 and found nearly 11 kilos of cocaine concealed in its structure. The driver was detained.

Gendarmes from Squadron 61 "Salvador Mazza" detected irregularities in the structure of a scooter motorcycle during a routine check on National Route No. 34, at kilometre 1,484, according to information reported by argentina.gob.ar.
Personnel from the Road Section "Caraparí" stopped the vehicle and asked the driver to get out. Upon inspecting the motorcycle, the officers noticed anomalies in the front structure and in the footrest of the vehicle.
The anti-narcotics dog "Apache" was called immediately. Upon sniffing the irregular areas, the dog reacted in an exalted manner, confirming the presence of illicit substances inside the chassis.
In the presence of witnesses, the gendarmes dismantled the chassis and found 10 sealed packages containing a whitish substance distributed across those sections. Field tests using Narcotest yielded positive results for cocaine.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office in Tartagal ordered the seizure of 10 kilos 994 grammes of drugs, the motorcycle, a mobile telephone and other items of interest for the case. The driver was detained in violation of Law 23.737 on narcotics.
