Officers from the local security forces successfully seized two vehicles that presented anomalies in their documentation, following raids conducted in the capital city and in the neighbouring city of La Banda. One of the vehicles was wanted in connection with a theft committed in Buenos Aires province; the other was being illegally detained pursuant to a case being processed in Salta.

The first operation took place in the South America sector of Santiago del Estero. Officers discovered a Toyota Hilux utility vehicle with number plates that aroused suspicion. After cross-referencing the engine and chassis numbers with official records, they detected discrepancies with respect to the documentation presented. Further investigations established that the pick-up truck was listed as stolen in a crime reported in September of last year in Buenos Aires province, according to records from the Federal Police.

The second operation was conducted at the intersection of San Martín and Alem avenues, in La Banda. A Ford Mondeo sedan was intercepted there. Unlike the first case, the engine and chassis numbers of this vehicle matched the official files, but a search in the security agency's computer systems showed that there was a current order from a Salta court stemming from a recent illegal possession complaint.

The fiscal authorities ordered the seizure of both assets, which were transferred to a military facility pending the judicial determination of the corresponding procedural steps.
