An 18-year-old woman assaulted a Department of Punilla Police officer in Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba, during a security operation mounted for celebrations of the national team's triumph. The violent incident occurred this Tuesday at approximately 17:50 in the Cruz Mayor area.
According to Carlos Paz Vivo, uniformed officers were in the area attempting to break up a fight between several people when the woman lunged at one of the agents. The assailant struck the officer with a punch to his left ear, causing him injuries.
Following the attack, the officers managed to subdue the young woman and transported her to the local police station, where she was held in custody pending decisions by the judge overseeing the case.
