At different points throughout Misiones province, police officers conducted checks that resulted in the seizure of three motor vehicles that had active seizure orders, all linked to theft reports filed in Buenos Aires province.
The first incident occurred on Provincial Route 227, near Puerto Esperanza. Officers noticed a motorcycle whose origin seemed suspicious and attempted to pull it over. The rider fled and was stopped only when he entered a vegetation-covered area, at which point he abandoned the vehicle and ran away on foot. The motorcycle, a KTM 390 cc without registration plates, was verified through its engine and chassis numbers: it matched a vehicle sought in Buenos Aires.
In parallel, during the night, personnel from Wanda's Radio Command unit were carrying out prevention work on Avenida Alem when they found a Bajaj Rouser motorcycle parked with no one nearby. The ignition system showed signs of having been tampered with. After checking the records, it was confirmed that it was also sought for having been stolen in Buenos Aires territory. The vehicle was taken to the nearest police station.
The third operation took place in the morning in the Itatí neighbourhood of Puerto Libertad. Officers stopped a 19-year-old youth who was riding a red Honda Wave. Unable to prove he was the owner, a computer search was conducted that showed the motorcycle had been reported as stolen in Buenos Aires during the previous year. The driver was taken along with the vehicle to the local police station and placed in judicial custody.
