Villafañe, a retired police non-commissioned officer, died days later from injuries sustained. For that incident, Aciar was charged with negligent homicide.
The final decision was adopted following the involvement of the various legal advisories of the San Juan Police, the State Secretariat for Security and Public Order and the corresponding legal bodies. The resolution of the inquiry determined the dismissal sanction, which entails the permanent separation of Aciar from the provincial police force.
