During an event in a municipality in the Neusiedl am See district, an incident occurred in the evening in which a 44-year-old man threatened the local mayor and subsequently also several police officers. The officers arrested the man and took him to Eisenstadt prison.
At approximately 19:00, the man first held a loud horn concert during an ongoing municipal event. He subsequently approached the mayor directly and announced that he would fetch his telescopic loader and remove a vehicle. The municipal chief then filed a complaint.
When several police patrols arrived at the scene, the 44-year-old also threatened the intervening officers. The police then arrested him. No one was injured in the incident.
The public prosecutor's office is now investigating the man on charges of dangerous threatening.
