In Tyrol, a 32-year-old man from Germany hit his younger brother with a car. The incident occurred in the night of 29 June 2026 at around 00:10 in front of a bar on the Seefeld plateau.
The two men initially became involved in a dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation. The 27-year-old then withdrew several metres on foot. The older man got into a car and drove towards his brother. The victim struck the windscreen and fell to the ground.
The younger man sustained injuries of unclear severity. Rescue services transported him to Innsbruck Hospital, but he was able to be discharged again shortly afterwards. The 32-year-old fled the scene but was stopped and arrested by officers from Telfs police station shortly thereafter.
The suspect was found not to possess a valid driving licence. A breathalyser test that was carried out tested positive. Officers took the man to Innsbruck prison. He is now under investigation on suspicion of attempted murder, as 5 Minuten reports.
