During a check in Innsbruck-Pradl, officers from Innsbruck police station secured more than 15 grammes of cannabis from an 18-year-old Austrian on Friday, 12 June 2026, at approximately 16:45. The young man was provisionally arrested.
During the police operation, the 18-year-old allegedly threatened an officer in a dangerous manner and demanded his release.
In the course of a flat search ordered by Innsbruck public prosecutor's office, investigators found additional cannabis as well as more than 30 grammes of cocaine. These substances were also seized. The suspect is now being charged whilst at liberty.

On the following day, 13 June 2026, at approximately 17:00, a collision occurred on a private road east of Dr.-Stumpf-Straße 115 between a 75-year-old Austrian cyclist and an unknown cyclist coming towards him. Both fell and sustained injuries. The unknown cyclist left the accident scene without identifying himself. Innsbruck traffic inspection is appealing for witnesses and the fleeing cyclist to make contact on telephone number 059133/7591.
Also on 13 June 2026, a fire broke out in a storage room of an underground car park in Innsbruck, which caused heavy smoke development. Innsbruck professional fire service extinguished the fire whilst wearing breathing apparatus. A battery connected during charging is suspected as the cause. No persons were injured, however the damage to property is considerable.
