He is accused of ordering drugs over the internet over an extended period and reselling them for profit in the region. Additionally, he is alleged to have regularly assaulted his live-in partner for months.
Investigators at the Ried im Innkreis district police station had been observing the suspect over a long period in cooperation with the public prosecutor's office. According to their findings, the man is said to have repeatedly obtained marijuana and hashish via online platforms since 1 November 2025. He then distributed the drugs to buyers in the area around Ried im Innkreis. The total quantity is estimated at between four and six kilograms. The suspect has admitted to some of the allegations.
On 18 June 2026, investigators searched the man's apartments. He was arrested during this operation. His 40-year-old partner was also initially remanded in custody after drawing the attention of officers due to active drug possession. In the shared flat, police discovered an indoor cannabis growing facility. A custodial measure was not imposed against the woman; she received a summons to be tried at large.
In addition to the drug trafficking, the authorities accuse the 33-year-old of physically assaulting his girlfriend almost every week since December 2025. According to reports, the woman sustained injuries across her entire body. The defendant has also admitted to some of the violent acts. He is now in the Ried correctional facility.
