In Antiesenhofen (Upper Austria), police officers arrested a 28-year-old man late on Sunday evening, 8 June 2026. Multiple arrest warrants were outstanding against him, including a European arrest warrant. The suspect had previously attempted to evade a police check.
Officers had stopped the 28-year-old at approximately 23:30 on the B 143 heading towards St. Pantaleon. Upon inspection, it was discovered that he did not possess a valid driving licence. Furthermore, checks revealed that multiple arrest warrants were in place against him.
When police officers requested the man exit the vehicle for further inspection, he fled on foot. Officers pursued him and eventually found him hiding in a bush. Following his arrest, the 28-year-old was remanded in custody at the Ried im Innkreis correctional facility.
