Quick intervention by a witness led to the arrest of two suspected bicycle thieves in Vienna on Sunday. The woman noticed on Nordbahnstraße how two unknown men were tampering with a bicycle secured to a barrier, and immediately called the police.
The officers who arrived were able to arrest both men while they were committing the act. They are nationals of Slovakia, aged 31 and 45.
During a search of the suspects, police officers found tools suitable for break-ins. These were secured as evidence.
