A serious violent crime occurred at the water park in Vienna-Floridsdorf, in which around 30 people are alleged to have attacked four young men. The suspects are said to have used sticks, brass knuckles, a blank-firing pistol, pepper spray and knives. The prosecution cites wounded honour as the alleged motive.

Three of the victims sustained serious injuries, and two of them faced life-threatening conditions at times. Several of the alleged perpetrators, including the suspected leader of the group, remain at large to this day.

Ten Syrian nationals must now answer in court for their alleged involvement in the violent outrage. Proceedings against the suspects have begun.
