Police have arrested two Romanian nationals following a theft at a supermarket in St. Michael in the Lungau region. Officers found additional stolen goods worth approximately 5,000 euros in the men's vehicle.

Police have arrested two men following a theft at a supermarket in St. Michael in the Lungau region. The suspects are Romanian nationals aged 38 and 49.
The incident occurred in the afternoon of 17 June at a shop in St. Michael. Sales staff noticed the theft, whereupon the two men initially fled. Police then initiated search operations.
Shortly after the incident, officers were able to apprehend and arrest the two suspects. During a search of the vehicle they were using, personnel discovered additional stolen goods. The total value of the seized items is approximately 5,000 euros.
The public prosecutor's office ordered that charges be filed against the two men whilst at liberty. Further investigations are ongoing.
