Police locate filming location of video threatening Vice-Minister Maldonado
The Bolivian Police identified the site where a threatening video against Vice-Minister Peter Maldonado was filmed, linked to a murder in Santa Cruz.

Operations underway after identifying the origin of the threatening video
The Bolivian Police managed to determine the location where a video linked to the murder of a man in Santa Cruz was filmed, a case that includes a direct threat against the Vice-Minister of Interior Affairs and Police, Peter Maldonado, according to reduno.com.bo.
The General Commander of the Police, Adrián Álvarez, confirmed the discovery during a press conference and announced that operations are already underway.
"We have identified the place where the video was filmed. We are deploying, at this moment, various operations," Álvarez stated.
The police chief indicated that results are expected within the next few hours and that, once field work is concluded, additional information will be provided to the public.
Criminal structure with presence in three regions
Investigations point to an organisation with presence in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Beni and the Trópico de Cochabamba. Álvarez noted that this structure has not yet been completely dismantled and that operations continue to identify its members and possible connections.
Intelligence and criminal investigation units are working on two lines of action to clarify the facts.
WhatsApp and international numbers as a distribution tool
Following the murder, international numbers allegedly created a WhatsApp group to which journalists were added, from which information related to the case was distributed. The Police consider these actions part of a communications strategy linked to the investigated organisation.
Álvarez maintained that the case would be related to structures dedicated to drug trafficking, hired killings and arms trafficking, although he specified that individual responsibilities must be established within the investigative process.
