According to g1.globo.com, a 42-year-old man with an outstanding preventive detention warrant was arrested in the early hours of Saturday (5) on Rua Amador Bueno, in the centre of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo.
During a routine patrol, military police officers noticed that the man attempted to hide his face upon noticing the team's approach. The behaviour drew the officers' attention, prompting them to conduct a stop.
The man verbally identified himself as Thiago Tenório Duart, but was not carrying documents. A search conducted by police officers at the scene revealed the existence of a warrant issued by the Specialised Domestic and Family Violence Court against Women, relating to a bodily harm offence.
Duart was taken to Santos Judicial Police Station (CPJ), where he was placed at the disposal of the judiciary. Details about the bodily harm offence were not officially released by the Military Police. Thiago Tenório Duart's defence had not been contacted up until the last update of the report.
