On Monday afternoon (29), four people were captured in Tatuí, a city in the interior of São Paulo, accused of participation in the illegal drug trade and criminal organisation for that purpose.

The operation was triggered after the Military Police received an anonymous tip about suspicious activity at a house. Upon arriving at the location, officers encountered the accused in the midst of an escape attempt, jumping across the rooftops of adjacent properties. The team set up a blockade and managed to arrest four of them.

Inside the residence, police officers discovered psychoactive substances already packaged in small doses, ready to be sold. Cash, weighing instruments, packages used for portioning, and mobile communications devices were also seized.

The final count of drugs seized totalled 4.8 kg of cocaine, 214 g of cannabis and 936 g of crack, along with various items used in the operation of the sales point.

The detainees were taken to the police station and remain in custody. They are to face prosecution for the crimes of drug trafficking and criminal association.
