A man was captured during a police operation in the Rani Oliveira neighbourhood, located in the north zone of the São Paulo capital. The incident occurred on Sunday (15), when officers were conducting patrols in the region.
Police officers spotted Paulo Henrique Lin, 34 years old, acting suspiciously. Upon noticing the approach of the officers, the individual attempted to escape. He abandoned a bag in an alleyway and climbed onto the roof of a house, seeking refuge.
The officers managed to locate him hiding behind the water tank of the property. With the arrest in flagrante, the officers collected the baggage that had been discarded.
Inside the bag, approximately four thousand drug portions were found, including cocaine, crack, cannabis and poppers. In addition to the drugs, police officers seized nearly one thousand reais in cash and a mobile phone.
The seized material was valued at around R$ 50,000. The suspect remains detained, at the disposal of the courts, whilst authorities work to identify other possible members of the criminal network.
