At the Frauenfeld mail centre, Post employees are alleged to have repeatedly taken away valuable parcels over an extended period. Now, around five years after the alleged offences, the accused stand before the Frauenfeld district court.

The employees are accused of having taken luxury items from parcels in the course of their work. The public prosecutor's office accuses them of systematic thefts, which they are alleged to have committed whilst working in the distribution centre.

Much is at stake for the accused. In addition to possible fines, at least one of the accused faces the threat of a country ban. The proceedings have begun before the Frauenfeld district court, where the evidence hearing and questioning of the parties are taking place.

Following the discovery of the incidents, the Post initiated internal investigations and informed the prosecution authorities. The exact amount of damage and the number of stolen items will be determined in the course of the court proceedings.
