At least six people died and seven others were injured when a car drove into the grounds of a festival on Sunday 12 July in Viña del Mar, Chile. According to a police officer who spoke with the French News Agency (AFP), the driver lost control of his vehicle during the event.
Initial reports indicated that the person responsible was driving at excessive speed along a road located beside the festival venue. Following the incident, the man was detained by the authorities and will undergo an alcohol consumption test.
