Attempted murder at Limassol construction site — suspect remains at large

Cypruspolicenews.com reports that the Cyprus Police are investigating an attempted murder case against a 44-year-old, which occurred yesterday morning at a building under construction in the Limassol district.

At around 8:15 a.m., information was received about an injured person at the scene. Police officers rushed to the location and conducted an examination.

According to the evidence being examined, a 47-year-old and the 44-year-old became engaged in a verbal altercation, during which the 47-year-old produced a construction machete and seriously wounded the other man in the abdominal area. The alleged perpetrator subsequently fled.

An ambulance transported the injured man to a private clinic in Limassol, where he underwent surgery. The 44-year-old is being treated in stable condition, out of danger.

The Limassol CID continues investigations to locate the suspect.
