Six defendants deny charges over Demosthenes murder in Limassol
Six defendants pleaded not guilty to 15 offences in connection with the murder of businessman Stavros Demosthenes in Limassol. The trial was adjourned until 8 September.

Six defendants pleaded not guilty on Friday to all charges levelled against them in connection with the murder of businessman Stavros Demosthenes, according to Cyprus Mail.
The six appeared before the Criminal Court of Limassol, where they were formally charged with a total of 15 offences. The case was adjourned and will resume in September, with the next hearing scheduled for 8 September.
Demosthenes, 49, was known as chairman of Karmiotiissa FC. He was fatally shot in October of last year while in a vehicle being driven by his 18-year-old son, in the Agios Athanasios area of Limassol.
According to investigators, the attack was carried out using multiple vehicles, including a van and a motorcycle. After the shooting, Demosthenes' son attempted to transport his father to hospital before colliding on a motorway and requesting help from another driver. Demosthenes was pronounced dead at Limassol General Hospital.
