Revised indictment in trial for Thanasos Nikolaou

The revised indictment in the Thanasos Nikolaou case was filed today, Monday, in Limassol district court, according to Philenews. The private criminal proceedings brought by the victim's family are directed against five defendants.

The prosecuting authority acted in accordance with the instructions given by the judge at the previous, adjourned, hearing. The revised indictment has already been transmitted to the defence.

On 4 June, the submission of pre-trial objections by the lawyers of the defendants is expected, whilst on 11 June arguments on these objections will take place.

In the dock are forensic pathologist Panicos Stavrianos, former Limassol Police Commissioner Andreas Iatropoulos, former head of the Limassol TAE Nicos Sofocleous, former head of Rural Areas Christakis Nathanael, and former head of the Platres police station complex Christakis Kapiliotis.
