Police have arrested four individuals as part of an investigation into an assault causing bodily harm and knife-wielding against a 19-year-old.

Four young men, aged between 19 and 24, are being held in custody on suspicion of an assault targeting a 19-year-old in Paphos. The incident was reported during the night of 8 June, when an injured person arrived at the General Hospital of the city.
Officers who attended the hospital established that the young man had cutting and blunt-force injuries to his head and limbs. He told police officers that he had been attacked by people from his surroundings.
During the ensuing investigation, evidence was gathered against four suspects. The four individuals were arrested the following afternoon with court warrants.
The arrested individuals are expected to be brought before the Paphos District Court to determine whether they will be held in remand custody. The Crime Detection Department of the city is continuing investigations for the full clarification of the case.
