A man shoots a 43-year-old businessman in Dingolfing outside his home and flees. Neighbours describe the horrific scene at the crime scene.

Shooter flees after doorstep murder
A businessman was shot dead outside his home in Dingolfing on Monday. According to police spokesman Günther Tomaschko, the shooter fired the weapon as his 43-year-old victim opened the door. The man, head of a security company, was felled by three shots and died from his injuries.
According to police, the perpetrator fled in a black BMW. Officers launched a large-scale search, including a helicopter, for the fugitive – so far without success. On Tuesday, rescue workers searched the area with metal detectors.
As BILD reports, a neighbour witnessed the bloodshed at Schwedenschanze. She heard the businessman's wife screaming and ran towards the scene. The victim lay in front of the door on his stomach in a pool of blood, his head level with the doormat. The wife called emergency services: "When is an ambulance finally coming?" The neighbour tried to encourage the businessman: "Hold on, hold on." The emergency responders arrived too late – the family man, whose children were at school at the time of the incident, could not be saved.
Another resident observed the shooter speeding away in the black vehicle. He heard the three shots and described the direction of flight to police.
The criminal police are puzzled over the motive. According to reports, there were criminal investigations against the victim, and his company recently filed for insolvency. The police headquarters did not comment on this. Investigators are asking the public for information. The fugitive spoke standard German, wore a dark hooded jacket, had a moustache and a round face. Information can be provided to police on 0871/9252-0.
